Bebeto is a former Brazilian professional footballer, born on February 16th, 1964, in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. His full name is Jose Roberto Gama de Oliveira. He played as a striker and was known for his speed, agility, and technical skills. Bebeto started his professional football career in 1983, playing for Vitoria, a Brazilian football club. He played for several other Brazilian clubs before joining Deportivo La Coruna in Spain in 1992, where he played for three seasons. Bebeto then played for several other clubs, including Vasco da Gama and Botafogo in Brazil, and Toros Neza in Mexico.

Bebeto was also a part of the Brazilian national team that won the 1994 FIFA World Cup held in the United States. He scored three goals in that tournament, including a memorable celebration with his teammates doing a 'baby cradle' celebration in tribute to his newborn son. Bebeto scored a total of 39 goals in 75 appearances for the Brazilian national team.

After retiring from playing football, Bebeto has been involved in coaching and soccer administration in Brazil. He is currently serving as a member of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), responsible for development in women's soccer.
